Key North Boutique is coordinating a poster show as a fundraiser for Project 515 and they are looking for 12 artists to create and sell posters! By browsing their website, you will see that Project 515 is an organization that advocates "to ensure that same sex couples and their families have equal rights and considerations under Minnesota law." Needless to say, they are a pretty wonderful organization.
Posters will be hanging for several weeks before election time and the show will strike on November 11th. They are planning an opening on Friday, October 19th with the subsequent reception occurring on Thursday, October 25th. During those receptions we have Christopher Straub, who competed on Project Runway, contributing as spokesperson and artist. We also have Howard Lieberman, an actor and storyteller, who will do an entertaining presentation. There will be food and wine at both events.
THE POSTERS: Time to be creative because your only guideline is that the subject matter is broadly political. 16x20 is preferred. All proceeds will go to benefit Project515. If you don't have access to printing but want to participate, please email me the file. Posters will need to be completed by October 17th, aka SOON!
