Professor Diane Kastiaficas co-teaches book-making workshop in Egypt
Professor Diane Katsiaficas recently returned from Egypt, where she co-taught AT PRESENT: Exploring the Visual Language of Change and Documenting Our Artistic Zeitgeist with Minnesota Center for Book Arts' Executive Director, Jeff Rathermel.
This workshop enabled 13 Egyptian artists to utilize simple book and digital processes to create unique works of art. The project was funded by an Imagine Grant from the University of Minnesota, and was made possible also by the Minnesota Center for Book Arts.
Work produced by participating Egyptian artists will be on view at MCBA during it's Book Art Biennial, and there will be a larger exhibition of program participants' work at the University of Minnesota in February 2016.
